Data Deletion Instructions

Complete guide to removing your data from EV Guardian

Important Warning

Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. This will remove ALL your vehicle data, charging history, trip records, performance analytics, and saved preferences from EV Guardian. You will lose access to historical data and AI-generated insights.

What Data Will Be Deleted?

Account Data

  • Personal profile information
  • Login credentials
  • Contact details
  • Account preferences

Vehicle Data

  • EV information and settings
  • Battery health history
  • Performance metrics
  • Diagnostic records

Usage Data

  • Charging session history
  • Trip records and routes
  • Energy consumption data
  • Cost analysis reports

Location Data

  • Saved locations
  • Charging station favorites
  • Trip history locations
  • Navigation preferences

Deletion Methods

Method 1: In-App Deletion

  1. Open EV Guardian app
  2. Go to SettingsAccount
  3. Scroll down and tap "Delete Account"
  4. Read the warning carefully
  5. Enter your password to confirm
  6. Tap "Permanently Delete My Data"
  7. You'll receive a confirmation email

Method 2: Email Request

If you cannot access the app, send an email request:

Subject: EV Guardian Data Deletion Request

Include:

  • Your registered email address
  • Phone number (if provided)
  • Vehicle information for verification
  • Reason for deletion (optional)

We'll process your request within 30 days and send confirmation.

After Deletion

  • Your data will be removed from our active systems within 30 days
  • Backup systems will be purged within 90 days
  • You'll receive an email confirmation once deletion is complete
  • You can create a new account anytime, but historical data cannot be recovered
  • Anonymous analytics data may be retained for service improvement
